Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings (the gear) → Delete account → Continue → type DELETE → Delete my account. Your login, profile details, photos and videos, likes, follows and the text of your posts, comments and messages are deleted at once, and it cannot be undone. We keep only an anonymous, hidden record, empty placeholders of your messages and content, and reports involving you for up to 90 days. My video is stuck on "Processing"
Videos take up to a minute to process after upload, and the player appears on its own when it is ready. If it has been longer than a few minutes, delete the post and try again on a stable connection. Videos are limited to 60 seconds.
Who can see my profile and posts?
Anyone signed in to Music Connect. You can turn off "Show me in Discover" in Settings → Privacy to keep your profile out of search and browse results — people with a direct link can still reach it.
How do I stop someone contacting me?
Open their profile, tap the ··· menu and choose Block. Neither of you can message the other, like, comment on, save, repost or react to the other’s content, or follow the other — and any follows between you are removed. You stop seeing each other in search and in Discover.
Blocking does not hide your posts or your profile from them: those stay public, and they can still open your profile the way anyone can. If someone is a danger to you or to a young person, report them as well as blocking them. Manage your blocked list in Settings → Privacy. You can also set “Who can message me” to people you follow.
How do I report a post or a person?
Use the ··· menu on the post or profile and choose Report, or email us with a link. We review reports and remove content that breaks our Terms of Service.
Someone posted my music without permission
Email us with a link to the post, identification of the work, and confirmation that you own it or are authorised to act for the owner. See the copyright section of our Terms of Service.
I forgot my password
Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and we will email you a reset link. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder.
How old do I have to be?
13 or older. If you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission, and your account gets extra protections by default: adults never see you in Discover or search, only people you follow can message you, and we never store your precise location. Parents can email us to review or delete their child's account.
